Islamophobia

Negative attitudes and actions towards Muslims, based on conceptions of Muslims and Islam. For example the idea that Muslims are not loyal to the country they reside in, or that Muslims support the suppression of women. A synonym for islamophobia is Muslim-based hostility. Some prefer this as Islamophobia points at the religion (Islam), and not at the individuals practicing it (Muslims).
